Description
The most outspokenly political album of U2s career to date showed the band moving away from the more ambient sounds of Boy and October, and becoming the U2 we would recognise today. War spawned the singles New Years Day, Sunday Bloody Sunday and Two Hearts Beat As One, and was ranked 40th in Rolling Stone Magazines Top 100 Albums of The 80s. Widely regarded as the bands best album, pre-Joshua Tree, War was a critical and commercial hit.
