Buddy Guy is considered a pioneer of the Chicago blues sound and has influenced guitar greats such as Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck and Stevie Ray Vaughn. His newest, Rhythm & Blues, produced and co-written by Tom Hambridge, contains 80 minutes of music including new studio recordings and covers of Junior Wells, Guitar Slim and Willie Mabon tracklisting also includes duets with Steven Tyler, Joe Perry and Brad Whitford of Aerosmith, Kid Rock, Keith Urban and Beth Hart!
Buddy Guy was one of the recipients of 2012s Kennedy Center Honors, a lifetime achievement award in the performing arts Guy was honoured along with Dustin Hoffman, David Letterman and Led Zeppelin. Over the course of his 50 plus years in music, Guy has racked up several other honours including six Grammy Awards, a 2010 Blues Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award, 23 W.C. Handy Awards (more than any other artist) and a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, among others.
