For the 20th anniversary of Fela Kutis death (August 1997), ex Saïan Supa Crew member Leeroy invites us to revisit the Black Presidents world through his Fela Is The Future project. Leeroy is both the director and artistic director of this ambitious project which he chose to record in June 2017 in Lagos, the buzzing economical capital of Nigeria (20 million residents) and hometown to Fela Kuti. Across the span of his career, Leeroy has always taken an interest in other continents: he previously displayed his desire and skill for finding inspiration in world music with African Trip (West African music remixes), Bollywood Trip (Indian music remixes) and his early instrumentals for the Saïan Supa Crew. Features Felas original band members and his sons Femi and Seun. Recorded in 2017 in Lagos, Nigeria.
