Seems like producers can’t just stay behind the desk these days. The latest to do a Mark Ronson is Kenny Beats responsible for production for the likes of IDLES, Vince Staples and Denzel Curry. The result is an all instrumental album of inventive, wobbly instrumental hip-hop with nods to Dilla, Madlib etc. Made in tribute to his father so there’s a deeply personal touch to these tracks.
