Recorded at Sound Techniques Studio in Chelsea during 1972, John Martyn’s seminal album ‘Solid Air’ was originally released in February 1973 and is now available again on vinyl. Arguably John Martyn’s masterpiece. A stunning album blending folk, jazz and blues to startling effect and featuring such killer tracks as ‘Over the Hill’, ‘May You Never’, the beautiful title track and his stunning reading of Skip James’ ‘I’d Rather be the Devil’.
