‘Plagues of Babylon’ is the eleventh studio album by American heavy metal band Iced Earth, released on 6th January 2014 by Century Media Records.

‘Plagues of Babylon’ is the band’s first studio release with bassist Luke Appleton and the only release with drummer Raphael Saini, who was a guest on the album. Jon Schaffer’s unique riffs dominate ‘Plagues of Babylon’ and give the record a “back to the roots” feeling in combination with the rough vocals. The album is bursting with powerful songs such as the monumental title track, the poignant ‘Cthulhu’, epic sing-along numbers ‘If I Could See You’ and ‘Spirit of the Times’, and neck-breaking thrashers such as the fabled ‘Among the Living Dead’.
