‘Death Certificate’ is the second studio album by American rapper Ice Cube. It was released on 29th October, 1991, through Priority Records. The album was produced by Sir Jinx, DJ Pooh and Ice Cube. It was supported by two singles: ‘Steady Mobbin” and ‘True to the Game’.
‘Death Certificate’ is a powerful and thought-provoking album that delves into the harsh realities of inner-city life. With his trademark aggressive delivery and unapologetic lyrics, Ice Cube presents a raw and unfiltered commentary on social and political issues such as police brutality, racism and inequality. ‘Death Certificate’ was a commercial success, debuting at number two on the US Billboard 200 chart, selling 105,000 copies in its first week. The album was certified platinum by the RIAA in December 1991. It remains a timeless and essential piece of Ice Cube’s discography.
