For years the most anticipated vinyl reissues have been from the one, the only Beatles catalog. Finally, after a delay due to the meticulousness of the remastering process and assorted other hurdles, that day has come. These titles update the Beatles classic albums, which have continued to sell strongly and attract new generations of fans long after the quartet disbanded in 1970. For this reissue, individual titles were sourced from the original master tapes. Then each title was copied into 24-bit/192 kHz files and cut to lacquer at Abbey Road Studios. It was a painstaking process with maximum attention paid to every detail.

HELP was the last Beatles album to feature a cover version (Larry Williamss Dizzy Miss Lizzie), and is considered a turning point in the quality of their songwriting. Like the previous albums Im a Loser, Youve Got To Hide Your Love Away was Lennons nod to the influence of Bob Dylan. McCartneys gift for melody was obvious in Ive Just Seen A Face. and Harrisons songwriting contribution grew to two tracks. Instrumentally, Ticket To Rides off-beat rhythm was Ringos masterpiece, while the string quartet in the huge hit Yesterday was unusual for a rock band at that time; it was the start of a stellar series of McCartney ballads with strings (Eleanor Rigby, Shes Leaving Home).
