Description
The Jackson 5s combination of extraordinary musical talent and infectious dance moves earned the family the status of pop royalty in the music world and provided the launching pad for Michaels unprecedented solo career. In 1976, the group left Motown for Epic Records and changed their name to The Jacksons. They released five albums between 1976 and 1981 including 1971s Goin Places. Helmed by famed Philadelphia songwriting/production duo Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff, the group continued to spread their wings in the songwriting department here with the disco-hit Different Kind of Lady and Do What You Wanna which are complemented by the smooth Philly soul standouts Find Me A Girl and Heaven Knows I Love You, Girl.
