Thirteen Cities is Richmond Fontaines 7th studio recording and their first album to be produced at the famous Wave Lab studios in Tucson, Arizona. It follows 2005s The Fitzgerald, the last in a trilogy which featured Winnemucca and Post To Wire all of which UNCUT magazine called Masterpieces and two of which were Album Of The Month. Thirteen Cities features contributions from Calexico and Giant Sands Howe Gelb, while retaining Willys dark lyrics many of the songs are more upbeat and the band is fully back.
