Description
In the early 1960s it was quite common to take an up-and-coming television star (yep, thats what Clint was at this time) into the recording studio and make a pop single or two to test their teen appeal.
In 1962, Clint Eastwood took this one step further when he recorded a full-length feature LP entitled: Rawhides Clint Eastwood Sings Cowboy Favorites. Eastwood does a credible job proving he can croon with the best of them.
This album represents a collection of songs closely identified with the spirit of America and the 1960s era of western movies.
Clint Eastwood? That Clint Eastwood? Well, sure Clint has demonstrated a deep love and aptitude for music as both an actor and a director (e.g. Play Misty for Me; Bird) during his entire career, and here you catch him right at the beginning of it, fresh from his success on the TV series Rawhide, crooning (and quite competently so) a collection of country & western favorites! The vinyl release (the albums first-ever reissue in the vinyl format) features 180-gram vinyl pressing. A little-known side of one of Hollywoods biggest icons!
