Emerging on the scene in January of this year , Norwegian artist Klangstof (Koen van de Wardt) has quickly caught attention, gaining the acclaim of the likes of Annie Mac, Zane Lowe, NME, The FADER and more. Ahead of a summer spent playing shows throughout Europe, Klangstof is announcing the release of his debut album Close Eyes To Exit, set for release via Mind of a Genius ( ZHU, Gallant, THEY.) on 9th September 2016. Crafting heavenly walls of sound, Klangstof wowed NME and Zane Lowe on the back of debut track, Hostage, with the former describing Klangstof as a combination of the production tendencies of Abel Tesfaye and the soaring beauty of Sigur Ros. The past months have seen Klangstof reveal further intricate sonic beauties. The April double release of Amansworld and Island served to heighten excitement around the newcomer, with Noisey calling the former a lilting psych-kissed tune that sounds like lust and anxiety baked in the late-afternoon summer heat. We Are Your Receiver was recently revealed in early July, a euphoric stadium ready track which Consequence Of Sound dubbed as lush as rainforests in the latest teaser to the upcoming full length release.
