Born where the dust bowl never died, the West Texasraised trio that is Shallowater Blake Skipper (guitar/vocals), Tristan Kelly (bass), and Ryan Faulkenberry (drums) combines lowcore, post-hardcore, country, and Americana elements that defy genre labels. Quickly establishing themselves as ones to watch in the alt-country/slowcore scene, the power trios self-described raw West Texas dirtgaze has positioned the band as an evocative and distinctive force amongst current alternative genre-blending projects.

The band put out their sophomore record Gods Gonna Give You a Million Dollars in September 2025, garnering support from Stereogum, BrooklynVegan, AltPress, Beats Per Minute, Fantano, and more. Produced by Alex Farrar (MJ Lenderman, Wednesday, Indigo de Souza), the record walks the line of country and slowcore, swallowed up with heavy, distorted instrumentals and soft, dynamic reprises and even a feature from fellow West Texas musician Hayden Pedigo.
