Description
‘Thin Lizzy’ is the debut studio album released by Irish rock band Thin Lizzy on 30th April 1971. The album was followed by the New Day EP, produced and recorded by Nick Tauber at Decca Studios and released In August of the same year. It was the bands first album with the original line up of Phil Lynott (Bass and Vocal), Eric Bell (Guitar) and Brian Downey (Drums). This LP was Thin Lizzy putting all they had into the music and taking risks. Its passionate, high energy and distinctive.
These deluxe CD and LP releases celebrating the 55th Anniversary of Thin Lizzys debut studio album feature rarities, BBC Sessions and unreleased music never previously heard.
The 4LP deluxe set features 15 unreleased tracks including the previously unreleased studio track, Beggars Song. The tracklist also includes the rare ‘New Day’ EP alongside other rarities and BBC sessions, with LP2, 3 & 4 all appearing on vinyl for the first time.
