Description
No One Ever Really Dies is the fifth full-length studio album from N.E.R.D.(Pharrell, Chad Hugo and Shay Haley) and first since 2010s Nothing. Its home to the hit single Lemon (featuring Rihanna) and includes additional guest appearances from the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Future, André 3000, M.I.A., Gucci Mane, and Ed Sheeran. Skepticism and outrage are all over No One Ever Really Dies, which is in part a strident Trump-era protest album, writes The New York Times. It is sly and earnest, full of songs that move anxiously in several directions punk, new wave, funk, soul, hip-hop and full of agitated vocals from Mr. Williams and Mr. Haley. The albums centerpiece and highlight is the nervous yet blissful Dont Dont Do It!, written about the killing of Keith Scott by Charlotte, N.C. police
