When you first listen to Emilys Army youre reminded of the first time you heard Green Day. Its fun and adolescent, but also catchy and anthemic. It also helps that it sounds a lot like Green Day, but that is because the bands second full length album Lost At Seventeen was produced by Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day.
The album holds no punches and has 16 tracks of fast, pop driven Punk Rock in the veins of Green Day, The Clash, The Replacements and Operation Ivy. The band is breaking out of their local scene and starting to hit the road nationally. Emilys Army will head out this summer on the 2013 Vans Warped Tour to support their Rise Records debut.
Lost At Seventeen might be the first youve heard of Emilys Army, but it certainly wont be the last. The band has true staying power and a work ethic that just wont quit.
The LP version of Lost At Seventeen comes with a bonus CD and is pressed on coloured vinyl.
