Description
From 1971, their classic album featuring the hit Hocus Pocus, and the lengthy one sided epic Eruption brought them an appearance on the Old Grey Whistle Test and plenty of radio exposure on the likes of the Alan Freeman show. What followed was a run of tours in the UK for the next five years. Even the Polydor pressing plant had problems keeping up with demand for this album and their follow up Focus 3 (to be reissued on the same label next month). They have always been a favourite band of mine for many years and never fail to have that sense of musical drama in their compositions.
