Description
Irish pop-rock band The Script followed-up the huge worldwide success of their eponymous 2008 debut album and its multiple hit singles, including Breakeven, with their sophomore effort, Science & Faith (2010). Written and produced by frontman, Danny ODonoghue, and guitarist Mark Sheehan, Science & Faith was recorded in both London and Dublin and is another testament to what The Script does bestpen emotion-packed songs that contain fluid melodies, haunting hooks and Dannys soulful vocals riding high over huge, anthemic choruses.
The poignant and album anchoring lead single entitled, For The First Time resonated with people around the world. People are being stripped of everything, stripped of their jobs and their homes and their furniture due to the downward spiral of the economy, so its going back to an old thing of drinking cheap bottles of wine, having dinner on the floor, nothing but candlelight, and its like they are meeting each other for the first time, explains ODonoghue. Its getting back to reality; you are standing naked in front of this person. That notion really resonated with us and set the tone for what we want to talk about, emotionally.
