Description
Off the back of the incredible latest album I Trawl The Megahertz, and following last months first hit of remastered vinyl, Prefab Sprout have announced an exciting next batch, featuring four of the bands classic albums out October 25th all overseen by Paddy and Martin McAloon.
The releases include Prefab Sprouts renowned hit album Steve McQueen this time arriving as a ½ speed remaster from the original tapes and follows its 2007 legacy edition release. An album that frequently graces critics all time best lists, its a record that is highly-revered. The BBC labelled it as one of the greats. What really matters is the music. Really. If you have never listened to this album then I urge, no, demand that you do.
The English alternative pop rock band Prefab Sprout formed in 1978 in Newcastle and rose to fame during the 1980s, especially in the United Kingdom. Frontman Paddy McAloon is regularly hailed as one of the great songwriters of his generation. Steve McQueen is their second album and was originally released in 1985. Smart, sophisticated, and timelessly stylish, Steve McQueen is somewhat of a Classic, a shimmering jazz-pop masterpiece sparked by Paddy McAloons witty and inventive songwriting. In the United States the album was released under the title Two Wheels Good due to a legal conflict with the estate of American actor Steve McQueen.
